At the same time, he makes it seem like they're getting a better end of the deal by using the positive side of what he says to make them want to complete the task. In turn, they encounter an outcome they least expected due to the way Iago turns the situation for the worst. He is very clever with words, no matter the gullibility or intellect of the person(s) he is speaking with. What does he think of all this chaos? How does he justify his reasoning of torturing these people in their heads? These questions give rise to interesting answers because they can be answered in different ways.
