One can consider one's communication skills as a general social property and one should try to use them every day in all possible communication scenarios. You need to prepare yourself for any communication problems you might face, for example due to cultural differences. When you travel abroad, you meet people who speak differently and use different body communication styles that you don't see in the United States. In America we would say gasoline, while in England we would call it gasoline, which is the more appropriate pronunciation. The more we listen and communicate, the more we will notice the different ways people communicate. In the United States, we shake hands with another as a formal greeting, but in Asia, people don't shake hands, they bow to each other. All countries have their own formal greetings. When communicating with others, whether from a different culture or just a crowd of business people, they should try to adapt to the needs of those with whom they are communicating. For example, if someone was English and came on vacation to America and asked for chips, they would receive a bag of chips in return because the language usage is different. (Dillon, p. 4). A universal way of communicating is through images. If we have lost an audience and need to make them understand what they are communicating, we can use images to show the audience what they mean. Communication can also help businesses understand the customer better.
