    Pars Food is a limited company supplying goods to the general public which mainly take the form of potato products. Throughout this essay, we will discuss how supply chain management (SCM) and total quality management (TQM) can help achieve the long-term goals of this business. SCM refers to the process by which products are designed, purchased, manufactured and distributed from the raw material to the final customer (Smock, 2003). TQM refers to the system that integrates efforts to develop, maintain and improve quality in an organization to enable full customer satisfaction (Feigenbaum, 1991). The goal is to meet customer expectations and involve each and every element of an organization in a culture of quality improvement. The long term goals of Pars Food which will be examined are: to increase their market share and expand into Europe, to invest more in personnel, equipment and storage, to reduce operating costs by minimizing waste and costs of poor quality, and finally become more environmentally and ethically sustainable. Pars Food's long-term goal is to invest more in staff, equipment and storage. The company currently subcontracts all its raw materials through external transport, using the company “Soho Transport”. Outsourcing is the strategy of paying suppliers and distributors to perform certain business processes or to provide necessary materials or services (Ebert and Griffin, 2013). However, recently, executives are increasingly concerned about the quality, cost and reliability of their supply chain network.
