Accessibility: Many stores are constantly looking for ways to accommodate consumers with disabilities, an area in which Publix effectively excels. Starting with the parking lot, Publix has a large number of handicapped parking spaces. To enter the store, no steps are required to get through the doors, which are automatic, but ramps make it easier for people in wheelchairs to enter. Once inside, electric scooters are provided to allow customers with disabilities to shop on their own, leisurely taking their time to select specific products, as shown in Appendix E. Publix also provides assistance throughout the store to those who need assistance retrieving items from displays. which are out of reach. The toilets are also suitable for disabled people with spacious cubicles for men and women as well as full-size family toilets. For the visually impaired, Braille is available under each toilet sign. Additionally, there is space at the checkouts for people in wheelchairs or electric scooters to remain seated while paying, while still being able to see over the counter. The shopping experience doesn't end at the checkout, but rather at the customer's car, where they can be offered help unloading their groceries from their shopping cart into their car. The lady walked through each aisle calmly and smoothly with her grandson, and one of the Publix employees walked through each aisle with both...... middle of paper ......ch totaled forty-six for hundred of the customers we saw. While couples came next with thirty-one percent of customers and only twenty-three percent were single buyers. In our store, the majority of those we observed were buyers. People come to Publix with the intention of purchasing rather than walking around and looking at nice things, as one might expect others to do in a clothing store. The conversion rate we observed was one hundred percent, with every observed customer eventually purchasing at least one item. The store targets all demographics because everyone needs to eat and drink; these are two necessities of life. Publix caters to people from all walks of life, offering an ethnic section for those looking for specific international items. Specifically, our store targets University of Central Florida students and alumni by selling UCF products..
