In simple terms, globalization is growth on a global or global scale. This characterizes our modern society and it affects everyone; individuals, large companies, small and medium-sized businesses and even countries. Any entity that wants to stay at the forefront must take advantage of globalization. When it comes to businesses, they too must take advantage of globalization to stay ahead of the curve and that is what Nike Inc did when it decided to outsource. producing its products from suppliers in Korea, China and other countries. Nike Inc normally started as a small distributor of shoes from Japan. Over time, they decided to enter the shoe industry by designing and producing their own brand shoes and other sports clothing and equipment in order to take advantage of the local market and international market but others companies had already established themselves in this sector, so Nike Inc had to enter the market with an innovation. They decided to develop a market entry strategy based on product pricing. To be able to enter the industry/market using this strategy (Pricing), they had to look for a profitable way to produce their offering (shoes). Through globalization, Nike Inc outsourced the production of its shoes to Korean suppliers because the industrial policy of the time favored low-cost shoe production. At one time, Korea's industrial policy could no longer allow them to produce low-cost shoes and in order not to lose the business that Nike Inc brought them, Korean suppliers decided to set up factories in Indonesia, Pakistan, Vietnam and other countries have taken responsibility for the current situation, but have not taken seriously the taking and implementation of appropriate corrective measures to curb the situation. On the contrary, they made decisions that were even criticized and which actually contributed to tarnishing their image. If they had accepted their responsibility from the beginning and taken strict measures to correct the situation and monitor their implementation and compliance, as they did later after allowing the situation to prevail for a long period of time, Nike Inc would have at least had the benefit of the doubt about what was happening in these factories and by taking strict measures to correct the situation, monitoring their implementation and compliance, they would have shown their good faith.
