    My chemist is Marie Curie, she was born on November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Poland. Marie Curie was famous because she helped discover X-rays. She was the daughter of Wladyslaw and Bronislawa Sklodowska. She was the youngest of 5 children (three sisters and one brother). She was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize and the only woman to win it in two different fields (chemistry and physics). I chose Marie Curie as my chemist because when I was looking for a chemist to report on, I read a short biography about her and it said she discovered polonium and radium. He said that these two radioactive elements contributed to the development of X-rays and I know that X-rays are very useful and important today. Marie died on July 4, 1934.
