The September 11 attacks took place on September 11, 2001. During this devastating event, four different attacks took place. Each of the attacks was carried out by terrorists. The group responsible for the attack was Al-Qaeda, a militant Islamist organization known today for its global reach. The group itself has a network comprised of a Sunni Muslim movement that aims to make global Jihad a reality. In addition, a stateless multinational army, ready to move at any time. This terrorist group focuses on attacks against non-Sunni Muslims, those who are not Muslims, and individuals the group considers kafir. Since the late 1980s, Al-Qaeda has wreaked havoc all over the world. The group's leader was once Osama bin Laden. Three planes were bound for New York while another plane was headed to Washington, D.C., expected to destroy the U.S. Capitol. Two of the planes crashed into the World Trade Center. One plane hits the north tower and the other the south tower. The third plane crashed into the Pentagon, destroying the west side of the building. The last and final plane was solely intended to destroy the US Capitol in Washington DC, but it failed due to the plane's passengers coming to hijack it from the hijackers. The passengers attempted to eliminate the hijackers, but unfortunately failed and crashed it in a field in Pennsylvania. Throughout the content of this article, we will focus on the role of the media in the face of 9/11; more specifically: how media coverage of 9/11 manipulated our feelings about 9/11, how it affected Islamophobia in America, and the lasting effects of 9/11. Today, airlines have added a range of security measures to combat terrorism. This is one of the most powerful lasting effects brought into play because of 9/11. Overall, the September 11 attacks had many lasting effects. In conclusion, media has played an important role when it comes to influencing people around the world. The media has done a great job manipulating millions of people. The saddest thing is that they did it with absolute ease. As we have seen throughout this article, the media manipulated people's feelings about 9/11 on a daily basis, increased belief in Islamophobia, and helped create many lasting effects directly related to it. with September 11.
