My personal thoughts when I observed children playing, they choose what they want to play, what to add or take away. They come up with new ideas and hold hands with other children to join in the play. There were two boys playing with Legos, one of the boys said, "I'm making a spaceship" and the other boy smiled and said, "Look at mine, I'm making a robot that looks like my brother. ยป The boys in play used a variety of colors in different ways to create their ideal creation. They invent their own dance steps, hand and head movements during play. On the sand table, the children used the materials to establish different ways of driving their vehicles while chatting with each other. Into the water table, children add various materials using many techniques to make the water flow. Sand and water play will develop and strengthen fine motor skills and eye coordination during play such as pouring, squeezing, rubbing, digging and scooping. Children will learn about flow, volume, measurement, comparison, observation, counting, shapes and concept. Children will engage in conversations, cooperate, interact, take turns, share and develop their language skills. Children use all their senses to manipulate toys, developing their creativity and interaction with others. Additionally, the game helps children explore different types of textures: smooth, rough, grainy, soft, chewy and hard. Obviously, play helps children strengthen their entire bodies, but it also enriches their knowledge of how things work or why things don't work. It provides opportunities to take risks during adventures during challenging games.
