    Although the exact cause of Mozart's death is uncertain as he suffered from bipolar disorder and depression which could not be monitored effectively, rumors surfaced that he was allegedly poisoned by the Italian composer Antonio. Salieri, through jealousy or the rheumatic fever that constantly disrupted his life, had finally taken its toll. Miraculously, shortly before his death, Mozart showed true dedication to his music by creating his opera The Magic Flute before becoming severely bedridden. This opera will be reproduced and re-enjoyed for many years to come. In Metro Opera's 2006 reproduction of Mozart's The Magic Flute, Mozart's musical genius was truly captured. This opera featured very bright and colorful lighting, described in a newspaper article as "the forces of light absolutely extinguish the darkness" (Tommasini, 2010), simply saying that with so much light throughout the opera , there was no chance for darkness. The set for The Magic Flute was very dramatic, so the bright and detailed stage appeal complemented the exaggerated costumes seen throughout.
