The same is corrected by rotating the image in a fixed direction and aligning the two models at the matching stage.3.2 ImplementationThe Rubber Sheet Model Technique of Daugman was adopted for standardization. The reference point is the center of the pupil and the radial vectors are assumed to pass from the center to the boundary of the iris. A certain number of characteristic points are selected on these vectors. The number of points on the radial line is called radial resolution and along the angular line is called angular resolution. A remapping function is used to resize the points on the angular lines. A fixed number of points is taken on each radial vector. The Cartesian coordinates of the normalized pattern are followed to obtain the radial and angular positions. The size of the rubber sheet was taken to be 10 pixels on the radial vector and 40 on the angular vector.3.3 ResultThe Daugman rubber sheet model was successfully implemented and the images normalized. However, the process failed to reconstruct the exact pattern of different levels of pupil dilation.
