I would appreciate the opportunity to attend your university to help me realize my aspiration of becoming a prominent sports attorney. Growing up in Houston, I have always been passionate about studying law at the University of Houston, knowing all the prestige it proudly displays. I knew I wanted to become a lawyer, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to carve out a place in the legal world. When I was accepted to the University of Oklahoma, I was not aware of the tradition or prestige of football. team carried. Plus, I had no idea what an honor it was to don the crimson and cream in athletics. And I never considered sharing a room with them. I loved sports, but I loved reading and writing more. Initially, I was focused on building a college career that would one day propel me toward my goal of studying law. Yet the more time I spent interacting with athletes, the more I noticed parallels between their personalities and mine. Their diligence, perseverance, and compassion were all traits I could relate to because they reflected me. For the most part, the majority of athletes were hungry for success and wanted to know at all costs; a combination that still resonates with me today. As I became more involved in campus life, I couldn't find a way to immerse myself in preparing for a career in law. Even though I knew why I wanted a law degree, I couldn't conceptualize what I wanted to do with it. Before entering university, my knowledge of the legal system was gained through internships with judges and lawyers. Obviously, this traditional path piqued my interest but not my passion. Living with the athletes affirmed my interest in their culture. I began to immerse myself in topics related to the middle of the paper, namely how to effectively apply law. Now I am able to participate in casual conversations about sports, but I am more interested in free agency structures, labor issues, and contract drafting and negotiation. Attending the University of Houston Law Center would give me the opportunity to gain an education that I know only they could provide. The University of Houston is a premier institution that consistently produces superior talent who continually excel in all areas of law. Acquiring my jurisprudence degree would be the crowning achievement of my life, but knowing that I could not use it effectively would be just as disappointing. To come full circle, I would use my degree to make a difference for the privileged and those who are not. The field of law is where I feel like I belong and I can't wait to prove myself..
