    This is a category of fallacies known as "questionable premises." For example: “Mike is a murderer. Therefore, Mike deserves to be punished by the law. Well, if the premise is true, then this argument holds water...but many courts have been created to investigate this premise! Without evidence, there is absolutely no reason to believe a premise that has just been given to us, even if the easiest thing to do would be to simply accept that premise as the truth. This error can be easy to spot from a
