IntroductionMultimedia has changed the face of web design. In the past, a developer had limited options for creative design. Multimedia changed all that and brought all aspects of good design and interactive design to the developer's desk. A simple definition of multimedia in the past would have been: “Here lies the dead web, for there was no sound, film or cartoons. "and I got bored and died", but this is no longer the case and multimedia has brought us a combination of content consisting of video, audio, animation, text, interactivity and still images. Multimedia depends on good design toolkits that enable better design capabilities. Media companies are constantly working on better frameworks and techniques to improve existing ones and these are tested in the ever-changing world of new electronic devices and the software that goes with them. In this article I will investigate which multimedia toolkits, techniques and frameworks are currently more effective and usable than others and how they compare to what exists on the market. It is also important to find software that is compatible with most hardware and software and why it works better on some devices than others. Multimedia The Internet or World Wide Web first came into existence thanks to a man called Tim Berners-Lee, although many people believe it was largely thanks to JCR Licklider (Wikipedia Foundation, 2014) that the Internet exists. But besides that, companies started investing in the idea, as did many organizations, who wanted to go online, advertise and sell themselves on the World Wide Web,......at middle of paper......user friendly, but also newer and more attractive. For this reason, new software will always be added to the existing framework. As a developer, you will need to decide what you need for your business. You won't necessarily need the same toolbox as the developer next to you; Every developer is a unique designer, with unique needs. You should consider the hardware and software you already have and research what's out there before purchasing or installing anything. Use the free software offered and test it against your PC and the software you have installed on your computer. This way you can be sure of what you intend to invest in. Talk to other developers about what they have found that works for them and look at their sites to compare what they say with what they have achieved, it's a way to gauge whether you are being honestly advised.
