In section 32 “Leaves of Grass” by Walt Witman, he talks about turning around and living with animals. I find his work very intriguing, like reading a good novel, with lots of hidden meanings. He talks about animals saying that they have no worries or emotions. They are; What you see is what you get, without showing any greed, without having to prove yourself or bow down to anyone. This caught my attention and I thought this was a very powerful point he was trying to make in his poem. To me, Witman's work is easily understandable and does not require a lot of in-depth reading.
