Whatever your age, the creations of Disneyland or Walt Disney bring childhood fascination back to life. Classic characters such as Mickey Mouse, Snow White and Dumbo are just a few examples of Disney creations that children and adults continue to recognize today. While other animations originated around the same time as Disney productions, such as Looney Tunes; Disney remains an influence on the entertainment industry. Disney has a responsibility to expand the imaginations of millions of children throughout its lifetime and beyond. It represents everything that is essential to pursuing your dreams. Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. His family of seven decided early on to move to Marceline, Missouri, where he spent his childhood. All the while, Disney took advantage of his artistic talents, creating paintings and drawings for his neighborhood family and friends. The family moved again to Kansas City where Walt Disney accompanied his uncle, a railway engineer. It was around this time, in 1911, that he also realized his love for trains. So he would take the opportunity to help his uncle during the summer. As a result, Disney and his siblings would spend time in Kansas City exploring the city.
