This is clearly the idea that the Boulder Colorado police came up with in the case of little beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey. As many observed following the media onslaught, on Boxing Day 1996, six-year-old Jon Benet Ramsey was found buried under a white blanket, tied up, beaten and strangled to death in the wine cellar of their home from Boulder. With the surprisingly rare and glamorous story of the death of a six-year-old beauty queen, who was part of a “perfect upper-middle-class American family,” combined with no leads and suspicion ever increasing against parents, It was not surprising to find that this fueled the media and that the articles quickly sold out and became a subject of competition between the press. So, like wildfire, this heartbreaking story spread, stretching across the country, shattering the souls of the world. News broadcasts, magazine and newspaper articles, and television specials have all shaped and shaped people's perceptions of the murder of this beautiful child, especially her parents, involvement or absence of John and Pasty Ramsey. The police and FBI's ruthless quest to connect Jon Benet's murder to his parents appeared to lead them to overlook important evidence, or at the very least dismiss suspicious findings that would otherwise send red flags to investigators.
