Music education is a class taught in elementary school, middle school, high school and even college. There are many different forms of music education such as: orchestra, choir and general music. In most American colleges, students are required to take some sort of music class. Then, once you enter high school, you can choose whether or not you want to participate in music education. You also don't have to take music lessons when you enter college. According to J. Yudkin, “music is an accomplishment that distinguishes us as humans.” Many people will say that music education should not be part of school. Music is said to be a hobby and something people can do in their free time. Others argue that high school music education creates better students and helps them succeed in other areas of life. Students not only learn life skills such as increased self-esteem and self-confidence, but they also develop better motor skills, both small and large. However, 98% of schools offer music lessons; only one in three students participate. However, students who participate in music education are more likely to graduate from high school, they will be better students (they will get better grades), and music programs will help them later in life when they will try to get degrees. at university, and even after that when looking for a job. Students who participate in a music education course during their high school years are more likely to graduate than a student who does not participate. This doesn't mean that students who don't participate will graduate, but students who are more involved in their school have a better chance. Music education is important in the lives of adolescents. Teenagers need more than just basic math. They need something that will be useful to them in the outside world, not just in the classroom.
