The Holocaust was a mass massacre of Jews by the Nazi Party. During the prosecution of the Nazi Party, many claimed that they were only following orders. In social psychology, psychologists study the behaviors and actions of humans as a result of social interactions. Even though the soldiers could have killed a person, they could have been pressured due to diffusion of responsibility, obedience, and groupthink. Before the Holocaust, the Jewish religion was still subject to much criticism due to its beliefs. The Jewish religion is known to be the first monotheistic religion. Many believe that it was the Jews who killed the Christian messiah Jesus Christ. Due to hatred of Jews, they were massacred, expelled from countries, persecuted and much more. During World War II, Adolf Hitler led a German political party called the Nazi Party. After conquering many countries, the Nazi Party began to publicly promote anti-Semitism.
