Essay / My return to school - 866
Recently, I began a new journey in my life by making the decision to return to school. I chose to start a family after high school and put my studies on hold. However, my children are now at the age where they no longer need my full attention. This decision turned into a huge learning experience and I found it extremely demanding and yet incredibly exciting and challenging. The goal of this article is to give you a better understanding of why I decided to pursue a bachelor's degree in business administration. You'll also learn about some of my top motivators when it comes to personal goals, knowledge acquisition, and career growth. As previously mentioned, I chose early in my adult life to get married and settle down and I felt like I found someone who I wanted the same thing. What I didn't realize was that a part of me wanted to move on to bigger and better things. I enrolled as a student at the local community college. Over the past 20 years of trying to balance the two, I have faced heavy financial obligations, two failed marriages, three children who depended on me and not enough experience to carry the burden . It has been difficult and challenging, but looking back, I have found so much personal reward in learning about and growing with my children, while never giving up on finding my place in the workforce. I have experienced many fields of employment. Right out of high school, I had a job in retail. I loved meeting and helping people. I enjoyed working on the cashier side and decided to continue my education in banking. I worked for many years on and off, in customer or operations... middle of paper ... he believed that no achievement is greater than self-improvement. I have always tried to maintain this personal goal throughout the years and after I graduate I will find a better job to support my family which will allow me to provide a better life than we currently have . They deserve the best and I would like to have that to offer them at the end of my studies. An article I recently obtained from the Ashford University library explains that by achieving self-transcendence, I broaden my perspective on myself (Wiggs, C., 2010) and I believe that nothing is impossible in this world as long as I am determined to make it possible. .Works citedWiggs, C..
