Flashing back to when Hannah and Marcus went on their first date, they went on a date together and Marcus' friends were watching the date. Before the date, Marcus had acted very respectful and sincere as they only spoke alone. When they go on a date with Marcus's friends, he attempts to sleep with her. The addition of Marcus' friends to this date revealed the type of person he is when he is with his peer group. The addition of Marcus' peers to the date was a huge negative and hurt Hannah's feelings when she realized he was trying to impress her friends.
