In this case, most of the time in the play Macbeth, a character's appearance was not reality. As shown by Lady Macbeth's evil thoughts, the betrayal actions of the Thane of Cowdar and finally Macbeth's bloodthirsty nature. These characters in the play seemed to be something they were not, which proves the theme of the play. Sometimes people make an initial judgment about someone and don't consider other factors. In the play, the reader sees these characters appear and we create our own image of what they will look like. In the end, many are surprised and shocked as to reality, even some of the characters themselves. “Don’t let appearances fool you. There is always only one reality!” (Haruki
