    Equality. A concept that this nation has strived to achieve. But in the 21st century, the question remains: are we equal? In the world of sports, participants from all over the world come together to show off their skills and compete against each other. For many young men, achieving such a degree is a goal that requires a lot of skill. But for a woman, such a goal is just a dream, because we live in a world where a female athlete is not accepted in society. In the 21st century, female and male athletes differ greatly. A man is expected to show his talent and become famous. However, women have to do a lot more to achieve less fame. Great skill. Lower payment. Demanding exhibition. Accessing a sport is easy today, but becoming famous is only a dream for a woman. Movements for women's rights in sports have come a long way, but there is still much progress to be made before women can enjoy the same opportunities as male athletes. Women have come a long way in terms of participation in sports. In recent decades, women had no rights when it came to sports. That's why the government had to step up and pass Title IX in 1972, which states that "no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in [sports]" ( “Title IX and sex discrimination”). In short, no man or woman will be denied access to sport. In 1972, this became a major problem for women as, for the first time, they could no longer be denied access to sport. This has opened up a new area in which women can get involved. Women could start in the minor leagues, then move up to the major leagues and pursue sports careers.
