Essay / What would the world be like without music? A brief...
Music changes livesImagine that you and your friends go to see a movie at the cinema. You all walk in and sit down just as the opening credits start. It starts as a black screen and slowly fades into a battle scene. A knight is in the center of the audience. He is lying on the ground and is going to die. You can hear a voice coming from the screen reading dramatic dialogue, but that's all you can hear. No background noises, no instruments and no music, just voices. What would it look like? No music for an entire movie. Would this change the way you experience the film? “Music is so powerful that it can change everything in a film.” (Bond 44-45) The music has a great reason to be here. It can even change a life for better or worse. Think back to the time when you watched the movie without music or sound. Would it even be worth sticking around and watching the entire movie? It played an important role in the history of our world. This is one of the things that will never change. It is still there and will be there forever. Music is one of the building blocks of our very existence. If you tried to delete the music forever, one way or another it would come back. It's like love or kindness, they are always there now and forever. "Listen. Can you hear it? The music. I can hear it everywhere. In the wind... in the air... in the light. It's all around us. All you have to do do is open up. All you have to do...is listen.
