    1) An introductionThe days when labor relations or labor departments were all the HR services an organization needed to meeting its human resources management needs is a thing of the past. As we move from the industrial age to the information age and the world of work and business becomes more complex and competitive, human resource management has become a vital skill for any knowledge organization; one that, if used correctly, could become a key asset to an organization. One of the most crucial areas of study in the 20th century has been the crucial link between job satisfaction and employee productivity. Job satisfaction is basically a measure of how happy an employee is with their current job. Generally speaking, employee satisfaction in the workplace has three major aspects: 1. A degree of autonomy in decision-making2. Very stimulating work that does not become monotonous3. Link Between Job Performance and Advancement in the Organization Other intangible and tangible factors also come into play. For example, some organizations offer incredible training programs for new hires, which add significant market value to the candidate.
