    According to the National Education Association, at least 100,000 students bring guns to school, 160,000 students miss classes because they fear injury physical, 40 students are killed or injured by firearms, nearly 6,250 teachers are threatened with bodily harm and 260 teachers are physically attacked. These facts are not based on a single year, but on every school day. Can we even imagine what the numbers might look like on the scale of a month of school, let alone an entire year? So would starting by searching the lockers really be a step too far in trying to reduce the numbers? Some might think so, because school invades students' privacy. However, the majority of people will say no, searching student lockers is not a bad thing. Although locker searches may have some disadvantages, their benefits far outweigh them.
