For this assignment, we need to write a paper after reviewing the “Starbucks Structure” case study found in Chapter 3 of the Five Functions of Effective Management. In this article, I will analyze the infamous coffee company Starbucks and what organizational structure is the best form for this company, with a focus on job descriptions for an employee. I will also determine the form of departmentalization, whether Starbucks should integrate food, and whether, in the face of financial difficulties, it is appropriate to centralize power or decentralize operations.
