  • Essay / Essay on Adolf Hitler - 858

Adolf Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945. He was responsible for the outbreak of World War II and the deaths of many people. This world would be very different if Hitler never came to power. Adolf Hitler was born in Branay an Inn, Austria on April 20, 1889. He was the fourth of six siblings and the son of Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl. He was three years old when they moved to Germany. Over the years, Hitler clashed with his father over many issues, but the main problem was Alois's disapproval of Hitler's interest in the fine arts and German nationalism. His desire for nationalism would ultimately become the main force in his life. In 1903, Alois, Hitler's father, died. Two years after his death, Hitler's mother allowed him to abandon his studies. He decided to settle in Vienna and work as a casual laborer and watercolorist. To help his love for the fine arts grow, he applied to the Academy of Fine Arts twice, but was rejected each time. When Hitler was not accepted into the academy, he decided to enlist in the German army during World War I. 1914, he is accepted. Hitler was present at several battles and was wounded in the Somme. He was subsequently awarded the Iron Cross First Class and the Black Wound Badge. On November 11, 1918, World War I ended. Hitler returned to Munich, but continued to work for the army. He adopted many anti-Semitic, nationalist and anti-Marxist ideas from the founder of the German Workers' Party (DAP), Anton Drexler. In 1919, Hitler joined the DAP. To make it interesting for more people, they changed the name to Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP). Hitler personally designed the banner with a swastika in a white circle on a red background. Hitler quickly replaced Drexler... middle of paper ......r, signed to change the United States' mind of supporting and protecting the United Kingdom. On June 22, 1941, Hitler failed to respect his non-aggression pact with Joseph Stalin, the Russian dictator, by sending 3 million soldiers to the Soviet Union. He and his troops seized a large area before being stopped outside Moscow in December 1941. On December 7, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, and this action brought the United States into the war. World War II began and the Axis power was against the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union. In 1942, Germany failed to capture more land and lost few battles. Two years later, the Western Allied armies landed in France. The Axis power was losing and the war was coming to an end. By early 1945, Hitler realized she was going to lose the war. For example, the German army was pushed back into Europe and the Allies were entering Germany. D
