    When Hitler and the Nazi Party came to power, they proposed strict and unimaginably radical policies. Their goal as the dominant political power was to create a “pure” German society. The idea of ​​a "pure" German society stemmed from the idea that certain racial and ethnic groups were undesirable and inferior. It is in this spirit that they sought to completely eliminate, through tactics of annihilation, Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, biracial children, disabled citizens, Jehovah's Witnesses and any other individuals opposed to their radical ideologies. However, the most questionable part of these tactics was how and why the Nazis chose them. Among the many ways that dictators and corrupt governments have tortured their citizens in the past, why did Hitler determine that Einsatzgruppen, ghettos, and concentration camps would be the methods of choice for mass murder of the Jewish people? Robert Payne notes in his book The Life and Death of Adolf Hitler that Hitler was not satisfied with a horrible murder of the Jewish race. He preferred that they die in agony and utter humiliation. Methods of mass murder such as death squads (Einsatzgruppen), ghettos and concentration camps proved to be the perfect end solution. These tactics would exterminate Jews at an increasing rate while stripping them of their respectable status. Hitler's first and foremost goal in Germany was to eliminate all Jews. With this plan in mind, he constantly researched different methods to kill the Jews. One of the first methods Hitler used to carry out this mass murder operation was the Einsatzgruppen. According to A Teacher's Guide to the Holocaust, the Einsatzgruppen killed units generally composed of SS and German policemen(...... middle of paper ...... we understood that the Nazis did not show up not simply as a corrupt and oppressive government; they represented the evil that can result from radical ideologies and their selfish, ignorant, and insane perpetrators.
