  • Essay / So much fun. - 671

I take another deep breath, as the stale, musty air fills my lungs, I cough softly. I look around, "JAAASON, GEORGE!! Are you okay?" I look around for my friend and say to myself, "We must have gotten separated when the mine collapsed." I run towards the pile of rubble where the exit once was, "George? Are you over there." I pressed my ear to the rubble waiting to hear a response, to my dismay all I heard was the rush of water echoing through the mine. I start walking towards the station, "Maybe I can find a radio." I head towards the dark and narrow corridor leading to the station. I put my bag on the floor and lean against the wall. Breathing heavily I start rummaging through my bag looking for useful supplies, luckily I find my torch, I turn it on to check if there is any juice left. The light from the torch shines very little, but I suppose it's better than nothing. I head towards the station, torch in hand, as I approach the station, I smell a strange smell, like rotten meat. I approach the station door, coughing and spluttering, as I enter I notice the power is out. “I guess it must have been cut off when the mine started to collapse.” I look for a radio, unfortunately the station seems to have already been raided, "It must have been George or Jason." As I head towards the exit, I hear a bloodcurdling scream, followed by a loud metallic noise. "WHO'S THERE! George, is that you?" I head towards the scream, further and further from the exit. The stench of rotting meat begins to become unbearable. I see two figures in the darkness, "GEORGE, JASON, I'M SO HAPPY TO FIND YOU!!" I run closer but stop in my tracks when I see a strange figure behind Jason, "JASON, BEHIND YOU!!" he turns around, scared like a man in the middle of a paper......i woke up what seemed like hours later, the man is nowhere to be found, i see a discolored metal door at the end of the room. I try to force the curls on my left arm, they are still so tight. I try now with my right, I feel the buckle loosening. I quickly break away, look around but Jason seems to be gone. I quietly walk towards the metal door and slowly turn the handle, I see what looks like a locker room, I hear the man whistling from another room. I see a door with a small window. I look outside and see rocks and dirt, deciding this is the way out. I slowly open the door and start running, I run as fast and as far as I can, I can almost see the station. with a sigh of relief, I head towards the station. I fall asleep soundly in the quiet of the station. When I wake up I find cold black lenses staring straight into my eyes: "Why did you leave, we were having so much fun."
