I have come to believe that the greatest learning achievement is not the amount of information I have acquired, but the learning and understanding of the process used to acquire them. It's better to understand how I manage my relationships than to know how many I have. My personality and learning style have a direct impact on how I learn and how I interact with people. It goes far beyond and deeper than a simple reflection of who we are. Our personality and learning style determine how we feel, interact, react, process information, how we perceive ourselves and the list goes on. By understanding how we learn, we can begin to make changes in both how information is presented, how we process that information, and how we use it when needed. I took several assessments and tests to determine my learning style. Most of them have a similar goal and focus on specific features. The Keirsey Temperament Sorter provided a complete insight into my personality. The ATLAS instrument provided specific information related to performance in a learning environment. Although these tests are backed by many years of research and development, they do not provide 100% accuracy. In Introduction to Type it is said: “Type does not explain everything. The human personality is much more complex. » (Meyers 42) After reviewing the results of the many publications and explanations provided, I have found that this is certainly true. An example of this complexity is the presence in me of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I realized that my ADHD had a direct influence on my learning style and personality type. Having a baseline of my learning style provided by assessments has allowed me to adjust my learning environment...... middle of paper ...... I know the answers will come with time and will be mine for me to think about in the future.
