    Electricity is a basic necessity that people need to run their daily activities. Science paves the way for the continued development and improvement of different electricity generation and distribution technologies around the world. Science has led to the discovery of the positive and negative effects of electricity generation on nature and humanity. Over time, experts in the field realized that there were renewable sources of electricity with a limited impact on the environment. The rapid growth of industrialization as well as the increasing dependence of populations on manufactured goods and services have contributed significantly to the world's waste problems. As a result, scientists have introduced a number of waste-to-energy (wte) or energy-from-waste (efw) technologies. One of the goals of wte technologies is to solve global waste management problems, such as landfill congestion and difficulties in the proper disposal of garbage or municipal solid waste (MSW). Another solution is to find a solution to meet the significant increase in demand for electricity globally as a result of continued population growth. The problem of waste management and energy consumption challenges led to the discovery of WTE technologies. Figuratively speaking, waste technologies seem to have killed two birds with one stone, as they have solved two important global problems with a single solution. Incineration, which is a key process in waste technologies, has also been shown to have negative environmental effects as it leads to the release of potentially harmful gases and other components into the environment. Scientists are continually researching ways to limit the negative impacts of incineration on natural resources and humans, consistent with government mandates and policies. WTE technologies are also generally effective in supporting the economy as they help meet the growing need for electricity. This is particularly evident with the growing number of waste plants being built in several countries such as the United States as well as Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium and Sweden, five European countries with the highest rates highest waste utilization and recycling rates (Otto, 2013).
