This book is about a man shark created during World War II. Shark Man was a war experiment carried out by the Russians. The Russians transported him in a submarine. The submarine was shot down and sunk by enemy aircraft. The U boat plunged to the bottom of the sea thousands of feet below sea level. In 1996, two submersibles crashed during a documentary for National Geographic. They discovered a brass box that looked like a coffin but it was too long to be a coffin. The rectangular shaped box was approximately 9 feet long and 3 feet wide. They finally decided to bring it to the surface to find out what was in the coffin-like box. When the box was on board the ship, there was a curious crew member who wanted to see what was inside the box. The man thought it wouldn't hurt anyone, so he lifted the lid a little and out of the darkness of the box emerged a shark man with metal claws and teeth. The creature took the man to the bottom and fed on its prey. The shark man found his way to a place called Waterboro where he had been killing people and sea creatures. Then it found its way to land and killed even more people and animals. On one island there was an institute on marine life but mainly on white sharks. It was primarily through a man named Chase that he studied the shark man. And then finally, Shark Man came to the island and tried to kill Chase, but Chase tricked Shark Man into entering an air compression chamber. There, he increased the pressure and boom! The shark man exploded into pieces. The main character of White Shark is Chase Simon, he is around 5 feet 6 inches tall, he has black hair and he is quite strong, he is around his twenties. He is a kind person who loved animals, especially white sharks, and he is also intelligent, brave and kind. Chase's main character traits are that he is determined and courageous. I chose determined because he was very interested in white sharks, so he was determined to learn about them and discover new things about them and why they do certain things. Chase is brave because he swam with the great whites and he also killed the shark man and he was the only one who did it..
