  • Essay / Slavery: Slavery And Enslavement - 1263

Slavery as we already know is the act that enslaves and enslaves Africans as the property of others. Now that we know what slavery is, let's talk about the history of slavery and how this time in history had such an impact on the lives of these individuals. Slavery was something that happened around the world throughout history, but America was not affected by this era until the early colonial period when the country was in the midst of economic change. It was in the early 17th century that signs of slavery began to be notable in America. Captured and enslaved Africans were shipped to America for the slave trade, preparing to land there. The concept of slavery stems from the free labor revolution in the Caribbean and America during the colonial era of America, when men realized how hard and difficult it was to work and cultivate the land alone, without much help. Unwilling to pay for their labor, these men decided that they wanted their land cultivated and their crops harvested by any means possible. They had the idea in their head that they could just go out there and get free work. They then came to the conclusion that it would be easier for them to import captured and enslaved Africans and force them to do free labor for them for nothing and at the same time we also control the lives of these slaves. This concept of exploitation through forced labor has had harmful consequences on the lives and way of life of these unfortunate people. We can only guess at the state of mind of these poor unfortunates. Slavery, on the other hand, has somehow remained a controversial topic, we have now realized that it is a fundamental part of human society all over the world. I don't care about that...... middle of paper ......r and improve their living conditions. Finally, the most important thing that can be said about slavery is that these African slaves tolerated slavery throughout their own world until they could finally escape once and for all. 'slavery.
