  • Essay / William "Bill" Jefferson Clinton - 750

William Jefferson Clinton, also known as "Bill" Clinton, served as the 42nd President of the United States from January 20, 1993 to January 19, 2001. Who I believe, including his flaws, was still an extraordinary president. During his presidency, Clinton experienced the lowest unemployment and inflation rates in recent history, a high rate of homeownership, a low crime rate, and a small budget surplus. They also credited him with eliminating the federal deficit and reforming welfare, although he was forced to deal with a Republican-controlled Congress. (Clinton, et al.) The lowest unemployment occurred in 1992, when Bill Clinton was elected President of the United States. The American economy was barely creating jobs, wages were very low, and the unemployment rate was only 7.5 percent. His bold, three-pronged economic tactics focused on three goals: spending discipline, investing in American education, health care that everyone could use, advancing further in science and technology, and the opening of foreign markets to develop trade. Today's release provides more evidence that this tactic works effectively. (House, 2000) American families and communities faced serious crime-related problems in 1992. The most violent crimes were reported at higher rates than ever before, with murder, rape, robberies and serious assaults which reached almost two million occurrences. in the United States. Gun crime has reached its highest level in 20 years, with a total of nearly half a million crimes committed with firearms. Parents fight daily to keep their children away from drugs, gangs and alcohol, and people younger than ever before have been involved in violent crime. In 1992 alone, more than 850,000 children were victimized... middle of paper ... Leaders refused to provide legislative support, it was one of the brightest moments of Bill's own presidency Clinton. (Virginia) The President's success will undoubtedly be historic in history, as his administration helped end the conflict that threatened the security of Europe. As there is always a downside, the failure to act in Rwanda constitutes an important aspect of future historical assessment for years to come. Clinton's overall management of the "post-Cold War" environment has certainly come under scrutiny from many.
