Every person was put on Earth to do something great. However, just because anyone can do something great doesn't mean everyone will, unless they take a risk. “Carpe Diem” or “seize the day” is a way of telling humanity that without taking risks there is no hope of achieving what we want, and only recently have I began to realize just how much truth “seize the day” can express. Before I went to high school, my behavior was non-existent, and it was only after losing two years of my life that I came to my senses. Afterwards, I am a much happier person, determined and motivated to be a good friend, a student and to become an adolescent psychiatrist. My story begins in middle school, where I didn't want to talk to anyone, and I didn't really want to have friends. I didn't talk to many people and my classmates thought I was too shy and weird, kind of like Todd Anderson, a character from Dead Poets Society.
