    On March 14, 1876, Hermann Einstein and Pauline Einstein gave birth to their son Albert Einstein. He was born in Ulm, Württemberg, Germany and soon moved to Munich, Germany. He had a sister and her name was Maria. As a child, Albert had great difficulty speaking and his parents even had private tutors help him. As a young child he was educated at a Catholic school for a few years and then transferred to the Luitpold gymnasium. Albert Einstein joined the Swiss Federal Polytechnic in 1896. This school was located in Zurich, Switzerland. At this school he learned to become a physics and mathematics teacher. When he obtained Swiss citizenship, once he graduated, he was unable to find a teaching job. Unable to find a teaching job, he became a technical assistant in a patent office. It was while working there that he obtained his doctorate. Over the years, he has held numerous teaching positions as a professor. in 1909, he became extraordinary professor in Zurich, Switzerland.
