  • Essay / Role of human activities in climate change

As humans approach an uncertain future, mysteries are unfolding around the world. Climate change is one of the most influential concerns of humanity, as there appears to be a drastic change in the Earth's climate, such as a notable increase in temperature. According to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), climate change can be defined as the change in atmosphere that results from indirect or direct human contribution to climate, which affects the modification of the Earth's atmosphere and can further introduce an inconsistency of the natural climate ("United Nations Framework", 1992). Although the UNFCCC places all the blame for climate change on human activities, some could undoubtedly argue that nature is responsible for climate change since, in their view, “climate change is part of the atmospheric cycle.” However, the biggest contributor to climate change is actually humanity. Natural contributions to climate change are the consequence of three main elements. Above all, the greenhouse effect is created by nature itself. The greenhouse effect can be defined as an effect in which sunlight cannot escape the Earth's atmosphere due to the blockage of gases such as CO2 and H2O vapors. Basically, sunlight, emitted by the sun towards the Earth, is absorbed by the Earth's surface and atmosphere and radiated back into space as heat. However, the process of removing this thermal radiation from the Earth's atmosphere is disrupted by greenhouse gases, leading to a build-up of heat around the globe. Second, winds and ocean currents are also dominant contributors to climate change. The regulation of winds and ocean currents can affect the global atmosphere... middle of article......change problems can also be reduced by putting the above solutions into practice. In conclusion, humans have contributed to the drivers of climate change while nature has just completed its task of the environmental cycle. By altering nature's cycle path, humans have been destructive to nature by using an excessive amount of natural resources and destroying the environmental necklaces that are trees. However, changes can be made if humanity begins to become aware of the various current environmental problems. Therefore, start putting into practice the solutions for a better future, not only for us, but also for future generations. Works Cited1.
