Persona 4 Golden is a game whose storyline I loved, not just the gameplay. There were so many aspects of this game that made it real. I could go to school in Japan, explore Inaba, interact with virtual characters, make my own decisions, etc… Everything was so detailed. The complex story captured my interest. The best part about this game was the amount of life lessons I learned. For example, emphasis was placed on the connections we have with others. Our bonds are our power and our reason to overcome life's difficulties. The game also makes it clear that people tend to put on facades in order to hide how they really feel. A person can live life but be unhappy with it. I learned to be considerate of others because they might be secretly dealing with personal problems. Most importantly, I learned to accept myself as I am. Instead of worrying about what I'm not, I appreciate myself for who I'm becoming. I will change as a person as I get older. I don't have time in my life to worry about such trivial things. I consider this game a masterpiece, mainly because of its gripping story and relatability.
