    Ethics during changeThe Cambridge Online Dictionary (2014) defines the word ethics as: ; “A system of accepted beliefs that control behavior, especially one based on morality; the study of what is morally right and what is not. According to the Merriam Webster online dictionary (2014), the general definition of ethics is "A field of study that deals with ideas about what is good and what is bad: a branch of philosophy dealing with what is morally right or wrong; a belief that something is very important. Workplace ethics is a set of moral values, systems or organizational cultures categorizing behaviors that will be acceptable and unacceptable in the workplace. This author will talk about the ethical issues organizations face when faced with implementing change. During the process of organizational change, senior management can and often does ignore the ethics of the organization, even though many of the rules are implemented in the organization's employee handbook. In today's fast-paced business world, the ethical structure of an organization is the last thing the organization should neglect. During organizational change, senior management or executive directors need to pay more attention to ethics. Ethics accompanies all changes within the organization, such as business, cultural and environmental changes (Kerns, PhD., MBA, 2003). Business leaders in the 1960s and 1970s became increasingly concerned about corporate social responsibility and ethics within the company. Leaders know that resistance to change, especially during organizational change, is something that cannot be avoided and that in the early stages of organizational change, resistance is an expected fact.
