Essay / Fighting for a Dream - 668
Sometimes we are put in a position where dreams seem impossible, whether it's growing up in a broken home or battling endless temptations. Opportunities vary depending on the situation. Wealthier children can often find more solace in their daily lives, while still enjoying the comfort of a stable home; they often experience limitless doors that can open effortlessly. Teenagers growing up in poverty lack emotional support, making it more difficult for them as they learn what life can lead them to. So how can you stay on the path to your dreams when you've been misled time and time again? Most of the time, teenagers who seek to achieve a dream fail without the support of family or friends by their side. This gives a person low self-esteem and underlines their self-confidence, making them feel like it's impossible. “I realized that by staying focused on my goal, I couldn't focus as much as I could on my family, especially when the energy I was spending worrying wasn't making any difference” (Samuel Davis 223). Teenagers not only lack support, but also a good example. “At first I felt that I was a good kid stuck in a bad situation and that I really had to work diligently to overcome the obstacles” (Samuel Davis 224). This shows that when a person feels trapped in a situation, they might give up on it because they don't see what the future might hold for them with effort and patience. Every year, 1.3 million adolescents run away. They feel distant and useless in the world. What they don't realize is that they can close something with a good work ethic and a desire to succeed. When people have nowhere to turn and no one to look up to, they sometimes seek the tranquility of drugs and violence, reducing their chances of success. never realize their dream. They feel that the middle of the paper is progressing towards the main dream, like checkpoints. Avoiding peer pressure is vital to surviving a crime-free life. Most teenagers, after being lured by peer pressure, regret it after suffering the consequences. “The suggestion caught on quickly once my friends added their individual touches” (Samuel Davis 92). This not only decimates your dream, but completely prevents it from coming true. Sometimes a glimmer of hope or the sudden sight of a goal can spark a hunger for success. Dreams can easily disappear in cases of violence, temptation and discouragement. The importance of goals in this topic is impeccable. All the factors that make up this ambition can either affect the outcome or significantly benefit it. Who will make the dream come true depends on who is determined and focused, and who can visualize a prosperous future by staying on the right track..
