    Offering or receiving compensation for the sale of organs is illegal in most countries. People who tend to sell their organs on the black market are likely to be recruited. The donors are likely to be lower class and donate in hopes of paying off their debts and bills with the money they receive from the sale. Furthermore, in most cases, people from third countries are tricked into selling their organs. Illicit organ trafficking is prohibited in most WHO member countries. Iran is the only exception. Nearly 5 to 10% of kidney transplants are due to illicit organ trafficking. Taking advantage of citizens of underdeveloped countries to encourage them to donate their organs is simply immoral. The WHO declared organ trade illegal in 1987. It also referenced the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Many countries, including Yemen, are looking for ways to prevent the illicit organ trade. Organ transplantation can sometimes be the only solution for patients who are experiencing problems with their organs. Organ shortage is a global problem. Furthermore, the length of waiting lists in developed countries is simply unacceptable and this is why patients often seek to recruit people from underdeveloped countries. Illicit organ trafficking is not the solution. The demand for organs exceeds the number of organs donated. Taking advantage of citizens of underdeveloped countries to encourage them to donate their organs is simply immoral. Yemen believes there are other solutions to this problem and does not believe illicit organ trafficking is ethical. Unfortunately, Yemen is a country without education. This is the main reason why people in my country sell their organs. Illegal trafficking of human organs is a major problem affecting people all over the world. Organ trafficking not only endangers healthy citizens around the world, but also patients suffering from organ failure. WHO should support organizations whose mission is to live a healthier lifestyle. Also, create an organization that goes into prisons and encourages prisoners to sell their organs.
