What is a trickster? A trickster usually breaks beliefs of the divine or nature, most of the time this is doomed to failure through malice, but sometimes with positive results. Most often, non-compliance with the rules will detect patterns of trickery or theft. Tricksters are usually cunning, foolish, or maybe both. They are usually very funny even when they are scared. In various cultures, the trickster and the humanizing hero are often merged into one. Tricksters are particular to their own culture. However, tricksters are naturally bound by undeniable attributes, regardless of their religion or culture of origin. It is believed that we all have some sort of trickster within us, whether conscious or subconscious. Perhaps one of the most famous tricksters today is the infamous Wile E. Coyote. Even though Wile E. Coyote is a trickster whose tricks never seem to work, he is considered a fictional modern-day trickster because he is always plotting and cheating to catch the road runner, two of the most common attributes of a trickster . However, there are many other common elements in a trickster. Some of the most common elements and fundamentals of a trickster are that they tend to be creators, opportunists, troublemakers, adventurers, manipulators, lazy and often play the role of victim (Leonard S, 2004). The most unparalleled way to perceive a trickster is his personality. A trickster is regularly respected and loved for his credibility and perfection, usually depicted as thief, bitter and incestuous. A trickster is usually a man but not always. Most of the time, a trickster will take the form of an animal. They show greed, drunkenness, lust and gluttony. A trickster is often called a divi...... middle of paper ...... very similar to Wile E. There are tricksters in all cultures, shapes and genders all over the world. Although Wile E. Coyote is a trickster whose tricks never seem to work, he is a modern-day trickster for two main reasons, firstly because he always tries to manipulate the runner into catching him, but mainly because that he continually plots and cheats for his own benefit.
