In your opinion, which of the tools explored in this unit is the most effective for improving quality? Explain why. Indeed, the seven quality tools are undoubtedly a very effective tool for achieving quality, but I find the control chart otherwise known as statistical process control more effective due to the remarkable features it exhibits here. -above. First, a control chart is used to distinguish between process variation resulting from a common cause and variation resulting from special causes. When looking for quality, we do not look at just one element, but a number of elements come into play to contribute to achieving quality. When using the control chart, unlike other methods, the control chart monitors the variation of the process over time, this is a very important element. important feature, because we all know that variation occurs over time and there must be a system that monitors the occurrence of variation, because when it occurs, it must be immediately eradicated. Control charts distinguish between common causes and special causes. Before variations can be completely addressed and eradicated, it is necessary that particular causes and common causes be differentiated and eradicated strategically. Other tools cannot particularly differentiate between special causes and common causes appropriately so that the system has the full capacity to eradicate variation, knowing the exact type of variation we are dealing with. Additionally, when a control chart is used, it leads to a more consistent analysis. product or service leading to a more satisfied customer. Since control charts are about controlling and monitoring processes in an organization to deliver better quality, they are constant and help eradicate...... middle of paper ......the situation is stable and not out of control. If so, buses can be located at different bus stops so that workers can reach the bus stop at a specific time, in this case say 7:30 a.m., the bus using around 30-40 minutes can then arrive at the construction site on time so that workers can start working on time. Since it is a control chart capable of telling us when to leave a process alone or when to start looking for particular causes of variation, we will not have to live in fear of worrying about particular conditions or out of control, such as a bus breakdown or road construction work. On the other hand, with the help of a cause and effect diagram otherwise known as ishikwawa diagram, the cause of employee tardiness will be identified if possible among other causes.
