Heroes are the goals of our own aspirations. Humanity is united around the need for patterns and information transfer, which is how we learn. These notions of heroism are directly represented through the collection of related texts, "The Epic of Gilgamesh", "The Ballad of Mulan", and the film "Saving Private Ryan". A hero can be anyone. The modern-day hero does not need physical strength or superhuman powers, nor does he need to be of royal origin or obtain a high-ranking place in the government.
