  • Essay / Creationism versus evolutionism - 998

Evolution by natural selection is the result of evolution that leaves organisms well adapted to their current population but does not form a perfect organism (Smock 2014). Male guppies have shown more or less colorful patterns decorating their bodies over the last 200 years. Studies have shown that male guppies have more colorful body patterns in areas where there are no predators and more conservative colorations when in hostile waters (Futuyuma 2009). A 1980 study proved that once guppies were moved to safer waters, in subsequent generations, more colorful male guppies began to appear (Futuyuma 2009). The guppy applies the first rule of natural selection that there is variation of a trait in an organism in a population because some guppies will have less pronounced colors, others will have more pronounced colors. Regardless of the environment the guppies are in, determine which guppies are likely to survive (Futuyuma 2009). The second rule is that the trait must be partially hereditary, which is true in the case of guppies, because surviving guppies will pass on the mutation, always completely random, to their offspring, allowing them a better chance of survival (Futuyuma 2009). . The third rule is that the trait must give the guppy a higher fitness level and more capable of passing the trait on to its offspring, which is true here because in dangerous waters, darker colorings will help the guppy blend in. in the mass and to stay alive while the guppy is alive. brighter guppies will be targeted more, and in safe waters, lighter guppies will attract more mates to help them pass the trait on to their offspring (Futuyuma 2009). Mutation is the change in shape or quality and it is in this category that color change is classified and that on a piece of paper......-change-100-times-higher-in-5000 -years-today-most-popular.html.
