Essay #3Bahrain and Libya have experienced conflicts within distinct Muslim and Shia groups as well as government policy and tyranny. What both countries have in common is support from the United States. Bahrain's Sunni and Shia Muslims should follow Gandhi's policies. Libya is expected to resort to violence due to El-Qhadaffi's tyrannical militaristic policies and corruption. Violence will only lead to more violence. This makes the situation worse as lives are lost. Wars will harm both nations economically because some weapons and resources are used for commercial transactions. Prohibition of the use of firearms, and 3. Mutual respect for each individual. As for Libya, this nation should retaliate by using warlike policies to fight Colonel Al-Qhadaffi. Libya will respect the following principles: 1. Use violence to overthrow a leader who has abused his power, 2. Reject the ideals of Al-Qhadaffi by resisting authority, and 3. Citizens are allowed to use weapons fire if threatened. Bahrain will serve Ghandi's policies well as non-violent revolutions will create a positive living environment for citizens. Libya will use violence by any means necessary to protect itself from the cruel and unjust military force of its leader. Both countries are taking steps to improve as they fight for future generations to eliminate the fear of government corruption and violence. Respect and obedience to higher authorities is required of citizens of Bahrain. With...... middle of paper ...... using violence to overthrow an oppressive and abusive leader, rejecting and resisting authority, and having the right to own firearms for protection against in case someone is threatened. Bahrain is experiencing more of an ethnic and religious struggle. Using non-violence would be an ideal situation to end violence and bring both groups together to reduce violence for peace. Libya must resort to violence to remove its leader from power. Libya needs an increasingly rapid revolution, while Bahrain needs a slow, gradual and peaceful transition to success.
