The most interesting part of these tasks is that each activity was unique. Of these, the activities that seemed difficult to me were the elevator pitch and the final project. For my final project with my team, we chose the Radon concept which relates to advanced health informatics. Providing a technical solution to a serious problem like this is very difficult and it is difficult to analyze the scenarios related to it. But thanks to classes on report writing and documentation, I was able to complete this project effectively. The concept of Elevator pitch strengthened my skills. Initially, when I heard about this topic, I felt nervous about standing in front of a camera, unable to maintain eye contact and memorizing the script was difficult. I couldn't even think of something to say. Then I started rehearsing the speech in front of the mirror several times until I felt satisfied with my performance. I realized I lacked proper expressions, avoided hand gestures, and was confused about how I conveyed content. Later, I started practicing in front of the camera by following the proper rules provided by the teacher which helped me achieve the desired result. From each recording, I identified flaws and made many changes to improve my presentation from start to finish. The elevator pitch is an interesting and beneficial task. I realized an improvement in my communication skills when I started giving feedback to my peers. The rubric helped me understand areas for improvement. Additionally, I was able to access the areas in which I am strong and weak, which caused me to focus more. This course not only helped me in this perspective but also helped me know more interesting information such as time management skills by answering all questions within the given time during class activities etc. In the future, I will need to develop my non-verbal language. communication skills such as gestures, body language and eye contact while giving a speech. From the beginning, I wanted to focus more on these areas because I felt that I was very nervous and behind. I understood the importance of these things in my personal and professional life. With the help of this course, I have improved my skill level to some extent. I think if I use my knowledge gained in this course and try to interact with more people, attend lectures or participate in social gatherings, I will be able to improve my communication skills.
