    External OpportunitiesSince most companies try to reduce costs in every way possible, they have started encouraging their employees to provide their own devices. These practices have been dubbed “BYOD,” or bring your own device. Sure, the company saves on purchasing the laptops or phones, but it still needed programs and apps to go along with it. This left their employees with no way to obtain a program or application customized to the company's needs, unless they entered into a corporate development agreement with Apple and then made the application available through the network and company servers. In 2013, Apple developed a volume purchasing program to meet this need. The business-to-business app store, the VPP Store, has allowed Apple to expand its core business. India has strict local market laws that cause most companies to overlook this developing country as a consumer market.
