  • Essay / Analysis of Hamlet and His Father - 2197

Hamlet started cooking dinner because he thought his mother wouldn't come home for a while. As Hamlet was preparing dinner he heard a knock at his front door, it was the love of his life, Ophelia. Hamlet and Ophelia have been best friends since they were children and share a deep bond with each other, the kind of bond no one thought would ever be broken. When Hamlet saw that it was Ophelia at the door, he told her to go away and that he needed to be alone. Ophelia was also devastated that Hamlet's father was killed because he was also involved in her life, but she did not argue with Hamlet and left him home alone. An hour later, Hamlet's mother arrived with a frozen pizza for dinner, but no other groceries. Hamlet asked where his mother was and she told him she was at Ophelia's father's house planning the funeral.
