Changing career patterns indicate that individuals can expect to pursue a variety of careers throughout their lives. The need for career guidance has increased due to the various professional transactions that an individual goes through. Maree (2010) mentions that career counseling is a one-on-one interaction between practitioner and client involving the use of psychological theory and communication skills. The main objective is to help the client make career-related decisions and resolve career-related issues.
